Brightstar Bio

Brightstar is more than a band—it’s a calling.

Formed by Adam Wood and Jessi Enyiaku, Brightstar blends driving rock, cinematic textures, and raw vulnerability to create music that reaches deep into the heart. Every song is a cry for healing, a fight for hope, and a reminder that light still breaks through even the darkest nights.

But Brightstar isn’t just about the music. It’s about the mission.

As artists, we create songs that speak into mental and spiritual battles—with lyrics rooted in both grit and grace. As ministers, we live out that same message in everything we do.

Adam is a full-time pastor and ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, currently serving as Lead Pastor at PaxNaz Church. Jessi leads worship and brings a prophetic heart for those who feel unseen or forgotten. Together, we co-lead Autism and Faith Inc., a nonprofit committed to helping churches embrace and support neurodivergent individuals and families.

We are both neurodivergent ourselves, respectively raising children on the autism spectrum, and we carry that journey into every corner of our ministry and music. It’s not a side note—it’s part of the purpose.

Before Brightstar, Adam spent years in Nashville working as an artist manager during the mid-2000s. That season shaped his understanding of the music industry, but more importantly, it deepened his heart for the artists and audiences searching for something real. That experience continues to inform Brightstar’s approach—independent, authentic, and deeply rooted in calling over celebrity.

From the stage to the sanctuary, our passion is to bring Jesus to the margins, where pain and beauty often coexist. We believe music can open hearts, and ministry can walk people home.

This is Brightstar.
Worship that roars. Ministry that moves.
A voice for those who feel voiceless—and a light in the fight.
